VŠį Kauno paslaugų verslo darbuotojų profesinio rengimo centras (Kaunas Vocational Training Centre of Service Business Specialists) is the state institution of vocational education and training. At present, the Centre carries out three main activities: basic vocational teaching, vocational and higher studies. 12 specialties are offered in the field of services and business. Almost half of students come to our school from rural districts where unemployment and risk of social exclusion are more common.

 

A lot of experienced teachers and competitive staff work at school that can organize studies of various levels, develop new courses and programs according to market requirements. The Centre has already participated in several European mobility, exchange and transfer of innovations projects.
 

Our school is going to host one partners’ meeting. The Centre will take a research role in this project, cooperating with its social partners such as Aleksandras Stulginskis University and Kauno Marios (Kaunas Sea) Regional Park Water Research Laboratory. Those institutions will help to ensure the best possible quality of research as well as data and information evaluation.
 

The Centre has got four smaller departments in other districts: Palanga, Nida, Aukštadvaris and Juknaičiai. Due to this we will have different starting points using main river Nemunas not only as environmental studies object but at the same time for the immediate learning of surroundings, customs and social life of the local communities related with water.
